Core Principle

SnapTidy is a privacy-first, on-device photo library organizer. Photos, videos, recognized text, AI analysis results, organization preferences, task progress, and Widget state are processed on your device and are not transmitted to SnapTidy servers. We do not operate an account system, serve ads, use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, or sell personal data.

Information Read on Device

  • Photo metadata such as creation date, file size, media type, and system photo identifiers, used to create daily sets and show progress.
  • Photo content loaded by iOS only for preview, swiping, offline preload, or Widget display.
  • Photo permission status, used to determine whether SnapTidy can show photos, write favorites, or start iOS delete confirmation.

Information Stored on Device

  • Decisions such as keep, review, and love.
  • Daily task progress, streaks, and completed counts.
  • Offline preparation state for travel or weak-network use.

AI-Assisted Cleanup

  • SnapTidy uses Apple Vision, on-device visual features, and local rules to analyze thumbnails, visual and quality signals, and photo-library metadata. It combines these with your previous organization choices to produce personalized suggestions.
  • Text recognition for screenshots runs on device. Full recognized text is not retained; the App stores only structured signals needed to produce suggestions.
  • Visual features, AI tags, suggestions, confidence information, and preference samples stay on your device and are not sent to us or any third-party AI service.
  • AI provides suggestions only. It never bypasses your confirmation to delete photos, and suggestions may be inaccurate, so review items before deletion.

Apple App Privacy Meaning

SnapTidy’s core data processing happens on device. Under Apple App Privacy terminology, data processed only on device and not transmitted in a form accessible to the developer is not collected by the developer. SnapTidy does not send photos, photo metadata, or decision records to our servers.

Delete Flow

Swiping left only marks a photo for review. A photo is moved to iOS Recently Deleted only after you confirm in SnapTidy and pass the iOS system delete confirmation. Recovery behavior is managed by Apple Photos.

Withdrawing Permission

You can change or revoke photo access anytime in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos. If permission is revoked, SnapTidy cannot continue reading or tidying your photos. Uninstalling the app generally removes SnapTidy’s local app data.

Widget and App Group

Home and Lock Screen Widgets read local App Group data, such as the next thumbnail, task counts, and tidy status. This data is used only on your device and is not uploaded.

iCloud

If your photos are stored in iCloud, SnapTidy may use iOS system APIs to download photos or thumbnails from your own iCloud for display or offline preload. Apple handles that process. SnapTidy does not access your Apple ID or iCloud credentials.

Subscriptions and Purchases

  • Pro subscriptions and purchases are processed by the Apple App Store and StoreKit. SnapTidy does not receive or store payment-card details or billing addresses.
  • To unlock Pro features and restore purchases, the App reads product information, verified transaction results, and current entitlement status supplied by Apple.
  • Apple’s system services provide subscription management, cancellation, and refunds.

Third Parties

The current version does not use third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs. If this changes, we will update this policy and App Store Connect privacy information.
